Nila

First impression

“Upon my arrival at De Lampendriessen, I immediately had a positive impression,” says Nila, a student from Poland. “It was bigger than I expected, and there were so many people.” The hustle and bustle and the modern feel of the university were overwhelming at first, but she quickly felt welcome.

Daily life

“It’s always nice to be together and do something,” Nila says as she describes her busy days filled with project meetings and lectures. Now, with exams and time-consuming drawing assignments, she often studies in the evenings, usually in her own room where she has the peace to concentrate. Nila enjoys cooking with her friends and getting together occasionally. “Sometimes they come here, and sometimes I go to their student houses.”

Facilities

“My favorite place is the cozy lounge on the ground floor, where there are always people and plenty to do.” These spaces are ideal for students to meet each other and create a lively atmosphere. Regarding her sense of safety, Nila feels very reassured. “It’s safe, especially on the fourth floor.”

Recommendations for future residents

Nila recommends that future residents live in De Lampendriessen because of its quiet and comfortable environment.

It’s a great place. You have your own space, and it’s peaceful here. I didn’t expect it to be this calm. You can’t hear anyone
